Sources Sought For C-5 Data Link Printer � (Intent to Purchase on Sole-Source Basis) � FROM:� Joe Palmer/409 GUMAA � TO:� �� DLA � LOCATION:� Robins AFB, GA 31098-1813 � FBO Post Title:� Intent to sole-source purchase of Data Link Printer. NSN 7025014900096UC P/N 8055515-4501 Noun Printer, Automatic Data SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the C-5 Data Link Printer, PR# FD2060-22-00114.� ITEM DESCRIPTION The C-5 Data Link Printer is used to print messages, report logs, and uplink messages in the datalink communication subsystems. Located in the center console to provide accessibility for the pilot, copilot, and observer. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Astro Nova, which was developed specifically for the C-5s mission and operational requirements. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Astro Nova is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the DLP performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment.� INTEREST The DLA Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Astro Nova for the manufacture of the Data Link Printer in support of the C-5�s Avionics Program.� Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 12 Nov 2021 to Joe Palmer via email (joseph.palmer.14@us.af.mil) OR Kenya Jackson (kenya.jackson.3@us.af.mil).� The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
