Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO), Fayetteville, Arkansas has a need for Lithotripsy laser technician personnel and equipment to provide mobile Lithotripsy Laser services to eligible beneficiaries, in accordance with all terms, conditions, provision and the schedule of the solicitation. The Contractor s technical personnel shall be certified and trained in lithotripsy services and operation of the equipment. Technicians must be able to complete and pass a VA Background Investigation. The technicians will assist the attending Urologist and other physicians in the operation of the equipment and maybe required to operate the equipment and any related imaging equipment during procedures. Technicians will also perform services within the policies, procedures, and regulations (such as the medical staff by-laws and professional standards board) governing VHSO, Fayetteville, AR. The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement on or about 08 November 2021. Proposals will be accepted for ordering periods for a five (5) year period fixed-price Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), 12-months each commencing with the issuance date of the solicitation. The Contractor s personnel will have regularly scheduled day(s) per month to be mutually agreed upon between the parties. VHSO anticipates an average of ten (10) veterans to be treated per month. The equipment must be prepared to perform the first procedure of the day at 8:00am and continue to perform procedures until the schedule for the day is completed. Contractor s equipment must fit through elevator doors of 4 feet wide and 7 feet tall. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, prospective contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and in VetBiz database, if applicable (VetBiz registration is required for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses) under the applicable NAICS. Contractors may obtain SAM information at https://www.beta.sam.gov and Vet Biz information at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management database. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit the SAM website as no IDC can be awarded to any offeror not registered in SAM. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective Offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the SAM website (https://www.beta.sam.gov) so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. NAICS Code is 621999 (All Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services) with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5M. The classification code is Q523. The solicitation will be issued for full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit proposals to be considered by the Agency. The VA will only consider proposals from contractors who are licensed by the State of Louisiana. Solicitation to be available on or about 08 October 2021 with proposals due approximately 21 days from the issue date, 3:00 pm Central Standard Time (CST).
