Description

The Purpose of this update to this call is to provide answers to question posed by vendors, and to extend the opening to 11 November 2021 at 4:30 PM.� The Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) program will be installing medium-fidelity aircraft simulators, which will emulate a variety of threat and friendly fighters, at the soon to be constructed JSE facilities at Edwards Air Force Base, California and Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.� This solicitation encompasses the procurement, integration and set-up of one (1) and up to a total of eight (8) Helmet Mounted Cueing System (HMCS) display solutions, four (4) at each location.� The Air Force is seeking innovative solutions for a HMCS capability for fast-jet aircraft simulations with full mission system functionality.� The Out-The-Window (OTW) imagery for these simulations will be projected onto the inside of 1.5 meter-radius domes. The pilot eye point will be located at the dome geometric center.� For the purposes of this solicitation, we are seeking any HMCS solution which may include a helmet-mounted display, a HMCS symbology image projected on the TAF dome, or other solutions that meet stated requirements. �The selected HMCS Display vendor will integrate the HMCS Symbology with the OTW Visual Display System (VDS) and Image Generation (IG) system as required.� A later contract will provide the head-tracking component, which will be integrated into the overall visual display system by that vendor.� It is desired for the HMCS solution offeror to identify a compatible head tracker that could be provided as GFE.
