Description
1. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT TO BE USED FOR MARKET ANALYSIS ONLY, TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILTY OF SMALL BUSINESS CATAGORIES, FOR POTENTIAL SET-ASIDES. NO AWARDS WILL BE MADE FROM THE SOURCES SOUGHT. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. RESPONSES WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE STRATEGY FOR THE FUTURE ACQUISITION. 2. The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron (27 SOCONS) located in Clovis, New Mexico is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to provide non-personal services as follows: 3. Description of Services: The general scope of work covered by the statement of work (SOW), specifications, as-builts and drawings consists of providing all engineering, labor, materials, equipment, supervision and effort necessary to remove and replace the wood flooring at the main gymnasium on Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. The scope of work includes demolition and disposal of existing flooring, removing and storage of existing bleachers, and replacement of hardwood floor. New flooring will be re-striped, and new AFSOC logo will be installed at floor center to match preexisting location, size and color. Two coats of polyurethane shall be applied to refinished flooring. New flooring shall be waxed and bleachers to be reinstalled at preexisting location. Existing bleachers will be re-installed. Bldg 444 is the main gym facility on Cannon Air Force base, and houses the only indoor basketball court on the base. The facility provides areas to lead physical training, basketball and racquetball courts, and cardio/strength training. This floor is used year round for intermural basketball league use, as well as a multi-sport activity area. Units rely on this open area as a physical training space during inclement weather. The basketball flooring is over 40 years old, and has been damaged over the years from a roofing leak in the past. Buckling sections have diminished the integrity of gameplay over vast areas. The existing flooring must be completely removed before the installation of the new flooring can begin. 4. The Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment and management to perform this requirement at Cannon Air Force Base located in Clovis, New Mexico. 5. Estimated Magnitude of Construction: Under $1M � 6. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties responding to this RFI. Contact with Government personnel other than those specified in this RFI by potential offerors or their employees regarding this project is prohibited. 7. For your business to be considered as a potential vendor for set-aside purposes you must submit a Capabilities Statement as requested by this notice. Failure to do so may result in your business category not being considered as part of a decision by the Government set-aside. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. 8. The Capability Statement should include general information, past performance and technical background describing your firm's experience in contracts requiring similar eorts to meet the program objectives. Interested parties shall not submit more than 10 single-sided, type-written pages using 12- point font or larger. Published literature may be any number of pages. At a minimum the following information is requested: � � �a. Company Cage Code, DUNS, name, address, point of contact, telephone number and e-mail address. � � �b. Bonding capability. � � �c. Any small business status (8(a), HUB Zone, veteran-owned, women-owned, etc.). � � �d. Indicate your role as �Prime Contractor� and what functions for which you plan to self-perform as a percentage of the total and those which you intend to use subcontractors. � � �e. If you indicated your roll will be a �Subcontractor�, please indicate which functional areas you intend to cover. � � �f. Indicate if your company primarily does business in the government and/or commercial sector. � � �g. Indicate which NAICS code(s) your company usually performs under for government contracts. 9. If your firm is capable of providing the requirements described above, please provide a Capability Statement to the Contract Administrator or Contracting Officer by the deadline indicated in this Sources Sought.
