The select granular material shall be graded per the following: Sieve Size Percent Passing by Weight 6 Inch 100 3 Inch75-100 No. 420-75 No. 200 0-15 Established Aggregate Sources: 1. What is your average monthly aggregate production in cu. yds.? 2. How much additional capacity above your average monthly aggregate production can you provide for the proposed projects in cu. yds for the structural fill? 3. How much lead time (in months) would you need to supply the quantities of the select granular material required by the proposed projects? 4. Is the aggregate from your quarry durable enough to ensure the loss of course aggregate is less than 50 percent in accordance with ASTM C131/C131M? If so, please provide the test data from a certified laboratory to validate the aggregate durability. 5. Is your quarry large enough to support 80-120 20-yard truck loads per day to support the proposed projects? Potential Aggregate Sources: 1. How long will it take for your quarry operation to be stood up to provide the aggregate required for the proposed projects to include any environmental permitting? 2. Does your proposed quarry location contain enough rock to provide the aggregate volumes mentioned above? 3. Is the aggregate from your proposed source durable enough to ensure the loss of course aggregate is less than 50 percent in accordance with ASTM C131/C131M? If so, please provide the test data from a certified laboratory to validate the aggregate durability. 4. Will your proposed quarry location be large enough to support 80-120 20-yard truck loads per day to support the proposed projects? This is a RFI and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. It is emphasized that this RFI is for planning and information purposes only. NO PROPOSALS are being requested nor accepted under this notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hawaii District will use information obtained under this notice to develop an acquisition strategy to help meet the needs for this procurement.
