- Page 2 of 2 NOTICE OF INTENT The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (02) intends to solicit from a single source IAW FAR 13.106(b) to obtain service and maintenance for the BD Max Analyzer Service and Preventative Maintenance. Period of Performance (POP) estimated to be: 12/01/2021 through 11/30/2025 Basic description of the requirement: BD Life Sciences Services is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and developer of their Max Analyzer and has the proprietary rights to all parts, service manuals and service knowledge of the BD Max. BD is the only authorized service provider. BD does not offer technical training on the BD Max nor authorize any non BD organizations to provide services. In addition, BD does not sell BD Max parts to non BD organizations. Place of Performance: Syracuse VAMC 800 Irving Avenue Syracuse, NY 14210 The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (Size Standard $20.5 Million). Intended Source: Becton, Dickinson and Company 1 Becton Drive Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417-1880 THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by November 15, 2021 at 14:00PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE BD in the subject line. All documents submitted, will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contracting Officer, Jason Rundle at jason.rundle@va.gov. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
