Description

Revised SYNOPSIS. The peropd of perfromance� date is written� in error and it has changed from�01 December 2021 through 31 March 2022 to�01 December 2021 through 31 Janauary 2022. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Due to GAO protest and the resultant voluntary corrective action taken by the agency, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Aircraft Division, Patuxent River intends to award for an estimated four-month (and two month option) a sole source bridge contract to Sabre Systems Incorporation, 125 County Line Road, Suite 180, Warminster, PA 18974. This bridge contract will ensure the continuation of engineering and technical services to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Software Engineering Department, in support of software development, test and acquisition at Patuxent River, MD.� The period of performance for this effort will be 01 December 2021 through 31 March 2022. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 541330 - Engineering Services. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. � 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� Specifically, award to any other source would result in �unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency�s requirements.� See 10 U.S.C. � 2304(d)(1)(B)(ii); FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B). Interested sources may submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates the current ability to meet these requirements. Interested parties may submit their interest in writing. This notice is for information purposes only and is not considered a Request for Proposal (RFP). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs of preparation of documentation or other correspondence in response to this announcement.
