- Description
- The Architect Engineering contractor (A/E) shall provide Construction Period Services (CPS) for Project 632-15-116, Renovate Roads Project 4 at the Northport VAMC The Architect Engineering (A/E) contractor shall act in an advisory and consultant capacity to the Contracting Officer. The A/E, when requested, shall assist the Contracting Officer and the Resident Engineer to interpret the construction documents and shall: (1) recommend any action(s) he deems suitable for the satisfactory prosecution of the construction work; (2) prepare any supplemental drawings, specifications or other documents that may be required to clarify or supplement the construction documents; and (3) assess the preparation of Construction Contract Modifications initiated by or through VA to be executed in accordance with the Construction Documents. CPS services are required to ensure construction is performed successfully and in accordance with the original design documents. The original design documents signed and sealed were provided by Lockwood, Kessler & Bartlett, Inc and do assume full liability for its content. Additionally, this Construction Period Service is a follow-on previous contract (VA243-16-C-0034) which expired at the end of FY21 due to expiring NRM funds. Lockwood, Kessler & Bartlett, Inc. has the unique capabilities to provide the services required under this contract. Specifically, Lockwood, Kessler & Bartlett, Inc. has the unique capabilities to interpret the Construction Documents which they developed; to prepare any supplemental drawings, specifications or other documents that may be required to clarify or supplement the Construction Documents; and to determine conformity with the design concept and Construction Documents.
