Description
The Government is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine a competitive basis. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This questionnaire is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this notice. Requirement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates soliciting a requirement for a firm fixed price construction contract to remove three (3) existing oil circuit breakers and to provide and install three new modern day SF6 vacuum breakers at Laurel River Dam.The oil circuit breakers are rated at 161KV of maximum voltage and 1200 AMP of continuous current. Each breaker holds 1,900 gallons of oil. �� ���The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The types of work and skill sets for this requirement are as follows: a)� Removal of existing equipment. b)� Installation of three (3) new SF6 circuit breakers and associated control cables. c)� Modification to direct operator controls or additions, where required. The anticipated NAICS code is 238120, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a small business size standard of $16.5 million in average annual receipts. Survey The Government is issuing this notice to determine a competitive basis. This is not a solicitation and the items listed herein are subject to change or eliminated from the requirement. This questionnaire is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this notice. Your response to this survey is requested by Friday, November 19, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time.
