Description

631-17-006 Construct Perimeter Fence, VA Medical Center Central Western Massachusetts Procurement Number: 36C24122B0001 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for bids will be posted on or about December 6, 2021. The VA Central Western Massachusetts (CWM) located in Leeds, MA has a requirement for a Firmed Fixed Price construction project that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform work under the 631-17-006 Construct Perimeter Fence project. The general scope of this project is to construct a perimeter fence around the campus. This is required for the facility to be compliant with the Department of Veterans Affairs Physical Security requirements outlined in the most current Physical Security Design Manual. The fence must also be in accordance with the Physical Security Design Manual for VA Mission Critical Facilities and coordinated with our police security services and emergency management personnel. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238990 and the size standard is $16.5 million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
