Description
W912QR-Olmsted Floating Mooring Bitt Extensions This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capabilities of small business firms for a small business set-aside. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately.� This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. No solicitation or technical scope of services is available at this time. The Government will use the responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT notice to make acquisition decisions. Small businesses are strongly encouraged to review this SOURCES SOUGHT and submit according to the directions in this notice. Contract duration is estimated to be 540 days, NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a size standard of $39.5 million in average annual receipts.� Award of a Single Award Contract is being considered.� This contract will have a period of performance of one (1) year six (6) months and have a cost estimate range between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Construct a reinforced concrete structure on top of the lock walls at Olmsted Locks and Dam to extend the floating mooring bitt travel.� Concrete structure is an approximately 12� Long x 7�-6� Wide x 6� tall.� It is a heavily reinforced concrete structure with significant embedded metals.� There are 28 of these structures included on this project that are all similar.� �Contractor is expected to perform most of the work from access on the lock wall and will only be allowed to close the lock chamber when access is needed from a floating platform.� Contractor should be familiar with concrete formwork, anchoring of rebar into existing concrete, installation and welding of embedded steel, and working on and around the river.� Successful bidders shall be familiar with widely accepted and generally acknowledged successful practices for local construction.��� All interested Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this SOURCES SOUGHT by email no later than Thursday, 02 December 2021 by 10:00 AM.� The following requests are designed to apprise the US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, of any prospective small business construction project execution capabilities. �Please provide your response to the following. The submission is limited to 12 total pages of information. Responses should include: 1. Identification and verification of the company's small business status. 2. Contractor's Unique Identifier Number and CAGE Code(s). 3. Documentation from the firm's bonding company showing current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits. 4. Descriptions of Experience - Provide descriptions your firm�s past experience on projects with greater than 90% construction complete or those projects completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. ��Provide documentation demonstrating Construction experience for building projects of similar type buildings involving management of multiple sub-contractors. a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Construction on lock or dam structures on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers and their tributaries. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Magnitude � approximate square footages of major features:� Concrete placements or removals and replacements on locks and dams of a minimum of 40 cubic yard of concrete.� Examples of similar projects would be:� Floating mooring bitt slot rehabs, miter gate wall quoin replacements, lock wall refacing c. Based on the information above, for each project submitted, include: current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed.�� scope of the project size of the project dollar value of the project: the portion and percentage of work that was self-performed, whether the project was design/build or not
