Description
Request for Information from all Government Contractors to facilitate direct communication with you government customers: Offutt Air Force Base would like to develop an avenue to increase the connection points between contractors, requirement owners and contracting officers. We know that there are Industry Days from time to time targeting particular requirements and there are other vendor events through PTACS such as vendor days. We want to develop smaller less formal events to connect contractors directly with the government requirement owners that are in need of their product or services. We know that vendor fairs and similar types of events can be costly for small businesses and is a time commitment, so we want to find a way to engage while keeping costs down and make it worthwhile. There are several things we need help addressing to ensure these events meet your needs without being a burden on you or to our requirement owners and contracting officers. Would it be better to focus these mini events to target a particular type of requirement or family of requirements i.e. Information Technology or Cyber Security or would it be better to open it up to all contractors in all industries. How much time should be allotted for these events? What type of venue would be best, an open area for requirement owners to walk around and visit with contractors with or without stations or booths or a venue with a stage allowing each vendor an opportunity to present their business and their capabilities with a time limit? What kind of presentation time limit should be granted for each contractor keeping in mind the number of businesses and the time the requirement owners would be available? What time of year would be best for these mini events and how often? Who would you like to see participating in these types of events, i.e. requirement owners, contracting officers? Again, this is an attempt to not add a burden to Small Businesses, it is an effort to provide interaction between Small Businesses and potential customers at Offutt AFB. If this is something you would like to support, we need your help into making these mini events efficient and worthwhile. These questions are just a start please do not hesitate to share any of your ideas or any information you feel would be valuable to facilitating these types of interaction.
