Page 2 of 2 Synopsis: This is a Sources Sought Notice for Construction Services to provide a new transformer for the mobile chiller at the Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center, project 528A5-22-512. The magnitude of the construction for this project is between $100,000 and $500,000. This is NOT a request for proposal. Set-Aside: This procurement is anticipated to be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220; the Small Business size standard is $39.5M. SDVOSB s shall be verified in www.beta.sam.gov at the time of the bid and at the time of award. Background: The Canandaigua VAMC is located at 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, NY 14424. The layout is a campus with more than 30 buildings located on over 150 acres. The general scope of work includes installing a means to connect a recently purchased mobile chiller to facility power. Work includes, but not limited to, electrical equipment, cables, conduit, duct bank and demolition of electrical feeds to existing transformer. General Scope: Demolition: Contractor is to provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, to complete demolition as identified in the contract drawings. Contractor shall remove the existing 4160V cable, conduit and duct back as shown on contract documents Electrical: Contractor is to provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, to complete electrical work as identified in the contract drawings. Contractor is to coordinate any disruption to electrical service no less than 14 days in advance. Duration of electrical disruption to transformer 8-1 shall be no longer than 8 hours. Contractor will be responsible for temporary power if shut down duration exceeds 8 hours. All Electrical work shall comply with contract drawings, specifications, and latest edition of NEC.
