- Description
- Notice of intent to use a brand name product. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is performing a market survey to determine if other potential sources of supply can provide a valve actuator that has equal performance and listing/approval requirements to the Limitorque Valve Actuator, Model MX product. FY23 MCON P-209 Dry Dock 3 Replacement, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii requires twenty-four (24) valve actuators that have the following characteristics: Requirements for the valve actuator(s): Motor gear attachment allowing motor removal in one assembly Circuit monitor designed for fail/no-faction protection continually monitoring motor contactor, control relays, internal logic circuits and external command signals to detect alarm malfunctions Gear set consisting of hardened alloy steel rolled worm and bronze worm gear Ductile iron thrust base removable from main actuator housing Removable high-strength bronze alloy stem nut able to be machined to suit the valve stem Handwheel with declutch level for backup manual operation. Lever to automatically disengage when motor is energized and maintains ability to be padlocked in the motor position. Powder coated cast aluminum housing Capability for external 24 VDC source to supply backup power for AC power. Torque sensor deriving output from motor speed, temperature, and voltage able to shut off motor to protect actuator and valve if set torque is exceeded. Boost function to prevent torque trip during initial valve unseating. Optical valve position sensing capable of measuring valve position in motor and handwheel operation. LCD dialog screens Compatibility with rising stem valves 300 series stainless steel external fasteners Design life of one million drive sleeve turns under normal operating conditions This notification is for market research purposes only to identify if other potential sources of supply can meet the requirements of the Government.
