Description
This sources sought/ request for information (RFI) is being used to conduct market research for the execution of an�extension to an existing contract. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. A solicitation is not available at this time. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute�a commitment by the U.S Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Area Support Group-Kuwait (ASG-KU) has a potential requirement for a Cable TV services at various locations in the Kuwait area of responsibility. The cable TV services for ASG-KU provides a means for real time communication of emergency information regarding the status of base readiness conditions. Furthermore, these services provide situational awareness and support on-base morale.� Objective. Provide cable TV services in living quarters, common areas, and work areas. Cable TV provides entertainment and news feeds to support on-base morale. Additionally, ASG-KU seeks the enhanced ability to inform Soldiers�of policies, procedures and upcoming events. Cable TV services provided in the work areas offer heightened situational awareness with the display of world-wide news coverage.� Basic Services. Cable TV�services must provide all installation, maintenance and annual cable TV subscriptions for Community Access Television (CATV), consisting of 8 American Forces Network channels, 2 Command channels, and 23 Commercial channels; 4 combination TV/Movie channels, 3 News channels, and 16 miscellaneous channels.� The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide cable television drop point installation and service at US Military Camps and facilities in Kuwait. This service may be provided as community access television (CATV) or direct-to-home (DTH) satellite television, based on the requirements of the customer.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 517311- Wired Telecommunications Carriers. Period of Performance: 27 November 2021 - 26 May 2022 and 27 May 2022 - 26 November 2022. Request for Information Questions: 1. Does your company have experience providing television services on military installations? 2. Does your company have experience in analyzing, assessing, designing and installing cable television networks and best practice business models to achieve efficiencies that align with Army strategies? 3. Does your company have experience with troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, operating, copper distribution equipment, including copper cable, splitters, amplifiers, etc. within buildings and underground to include repair or replace said equipment if it fails to perform reform goals? 4. Does your company possess the required licenses and or certifications to provide Community Access Television (CATV), Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite, and Internet services in th Kuwait AOR? If you answer yes to any question, please cite examples, duration of the experience(s), provide associated contract numbers, Performance Work Schedules (PWSs)/Scopes of Work (SOWs), and customer name and phone number.� The U.S Government will use the responses received for information/planning purposes and to identify�potential sources as part of market research.� All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the U.S Government will not pay for information requested, nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the U.S Government. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the�https://sam.gov/.
