Description
Lake Cascade Water Quality Model Development NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE INTENT. This is not a request for competitive quotes. The Bureau of Reclamation, Columbia-Pacific Northwest Regional Office intends to award a purchase order to Portland State University Water Quality Research Group, located in Portland, Oregon for the Lake Cascade Water Quality Model Development. Reclamation has found that Portland State University Water Quality Research Group is the only source able to successfully complete the required services. Portland State University Water Quality Research Group has over 35 years of experience and are recognized experts in water quality model development. Reclamation has utilized their services and/or sought their guidance to develop water quality models for Grand Coulee Dam and Lake Roosevelt, Scoggins Dam and the Tualatin Joint Project, Anderson Ranch Reservoir, and Arrowrock Reservoir. The awarded purchase order will be for a period of 9 months, with no option periods. Reclamation believes that only one responsible source can fully provide the services that will satisfy the agencys requirements. The Government anticipates award before December 2021. Vendors that have questions regarding the sole source nature of the requirement or vendors that believe they can fully provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to Carrie Calleja, ccalleja@usbr.gov, within 15 calendar days of this notice. All responses should include the vendors Duns and Bradstreet (DUNS) Number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). The NAICS code for this effort is 541715. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
