- Automated Linen Exchange (alEx) and Scrub Exchange Preventive Maintenance Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System Muskogee, OK 74401 PURPOSE: Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System, OK, requires the contractor to provide preventive maintenance and repairs for Automated Linen Exchange (alEx) and Scrub Exchange (scrubEx), in accordance with this PWS, in an efficient and cost-effective manner, supporting the VA mission. This is a non-personal services contract. The Contractor, its employees, agents and subcontractors shall not be considered VA employees for any purpose of fulfilling the PWS and shall be considered employees of the Contractor. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, shipping, transportation, insurances, licenses, certifications and supervision necessary to provide services in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor is responsible for all charges and fees related to disposal. For a contract of this size, scope and complexity, the successful Contractor must perform in a professional manner as recognized by commercial industry standards as good to excellent. SPECIFICATIONS: The Contractor must address any issues with staff regarding the aLex and scrubEx machines listed below. If support cannot be completed over phone, the Contractor must create a Work order to send technician out to address problem. The Contractor is responsible for updating any firmware that machines listed below when due and also notify Environmental Management Service that update must occur. The Contractor must replace or update any required Hardware required on the machines listed below. The Contractor must coordinate with Environmental Management Service for Maintenance Visits. The Contractor must provide all new parts and repair to ensure machines listed below are operational and fully functional. The Contractor must use equipment, tools and materials that must be approved prior to their use and be properly marked. The Contractor must maintain the space assigned to them and use only that space to operate under conditions which preclude the waste of utilities. The Contractor must coordinate with the COR (Contracting Officer s Representative) to prevent conflicts with the treatment of patients and the functioning of the facility. Any equipment broken by Contractor work during this contract shall be replaced to the satisfaction of the Environmental Manager or his designee, within 24 hours, at no additional cost to the Government. The contractor shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local safety and fire regulations and codes which are in effect at the beginning of the contract period. The contractor shall keep abreast of, and comply with, changes in these regulations and codes applicable to the contract. The contractor is requested to provide copies of all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) forms to EMS (Environmental Management Service) for all chemical products used by the contractor. All chemicals used must be approved by EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). The Contractor and their employees shall comply with the Hospital and Safety Regulations and with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
