- Introduction:��������������������������������������������������������������������� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District (POJ) is performing market research for a Design-Bid-Build (DBB) construction project.� This announcement represents a market survey that is intended for preliminary planning purposes only.� This purpose of this notice is to identify sources capable of performing this project and to receive responses from those firms to assist the Government�s acquisition planning.� This survey does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation, or award.� This is NOT a solicitation.� The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey.� Firms interested and capable of performing this work are highly encouraged to submit a response (submission requirements are located within this notice).� All interested companies shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. Project Information: Project Title: FY22 OMMC Repair MIG Intel Building, Bldg. 2814 Project Location: Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan Project NAICS: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Project Magnitude: Between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 Project Description: �This project will repair the existing building (2814) to provide an expanded secure space on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Originally constructed in 1996, the facility's total 31,255 square foot area will see the existing approximately 3,000 square foot secure space expand to approximately 10,000 square feet to meet new mission requirements and associated manning levels.� The effort will include replacing the HVAC system, electrical cabling and telecommunications, repair and construct new offices within the secured space in accordance to Intelligence Community Directive 705 and Technical Specification. To ensure continuity of operations during the period of the renovation, this project also includes the procurement, construction, connection to utility and telecommunication systems, and eventually demolition and removal of a temporary secure area. The project will also involve minor roof waterproofing and exterior aesthetic repair.���� Procurement method: POJ intends to solicit this project as a Two-Phase Request for Proposal.� The results of this sources sought will assist the Government in acquisition planning.� For Phase 1, interested offerors are to: 1. Submit their Facility Clearance Level (minimum Top Secret) for verification. 2. Identify no more than two (2) personnel to participate in a site visit on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan on/about 15 December 2021.� 3. For travelers, submit a copy of a valid U.S. passport, proof of COVID vaccination, and proof of negative test results within 72 hours prior to travel. Interested offerors are to confirm that they understand and will follow the Government of Japan (GOJ), Department of State (DOS) and U.S. Forces Japan (USFJ) travel restrictions and requirements and will bear all associated incurred costs with the site visit on/about 11 February 2022 or later. Submission Requirements:� Interested sources are requested to complete the attached Capabilities Survey and email the completed form to the following individuals no later than 4:00 PM, 3 December 2021, Japan Standard Time (JST).� Interested sources who previously responded to this announcement are requested to provide any updates to their responses submitted.
