- NASA has awarded a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the Commercial Smallsat Data Acquisition (CSDA) program to Blacksky Geospatial Solutions, Inc. (Blacksky), Herndon, Virginia. The Justification of Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) is attached. The total value of this fixed-price BPA is up to $7 million for each call. The BPA has a five-year ordering period from the effective date of the contract, September 30, 2021.��The work will be performed at the contractor�s facility in Herndon, Virginia. The purpose of this requirement is to provide satellite imaging capability and monitoring service to image the same locations multiple times per day over large Areas of Interest (AOI). BlackSky deployed 4 high-resolution (1 m) satellites with 2 in sun synchronous (SSO) and 2 in complementary inclined orbits (between 40� and 55�).� All subsequent satellites will be launched into mid-inclination orbits. The Global satellites are agile and capture imagery in a �point-and-shoot� mode in which all pixels are captured simultaneously. Each satellite can collect up to 1,000 frames per day (or 6-7 frames per minute), either as individual images or as videos, and each frame is captured by a 2D array of pixels. The initial default imagery product is a single-frame, multi-spectral image that is either unrectified or orthorectified. For information about NASA and agency programs, visit:�http://www.nasa.gov.
