Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a fixed-price incentive type contract modification under contract N00019-20-C-0001 with Raytheon Company (CAGE 4U884) of El Segundo, California 90245 (Raytheon) for the procurement of two (2) Canadian CF-18 New Radar Configuration.� This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� The Raytheon Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the AN/APG-73 radar and is the only known source with the knowledge, expertise, facilities and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish these efforts within the timeframes required.� The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals; however, responsible interested parties may submit a qualification statement in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to these requirements.� A determination by the Government to refrain from competing this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� The Government will not pay for any information received.
