- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center � Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source firm-fixed-price- contract for upgrade of the Government's HAAS VS-1 CNC Vertical Milling machine, S/N 2051903, which includes installing an Air Cylinder 3.25 x 6.125, P/N 59-0116A; a Mill Pendant Main Con Upgrade Kit, P/N 93-4421; and replacing a Remote Jog Handle (RJH) Touch from and RJH-E, P/N 93-1963A. to Phillips Corp., Federal Division (CAGE: 3MPQ0) of Hanover, MD. The scope of work will also include the time for a certified Phillips Corp., Federal Division technician to come to Lakehurst, NJ in order to install the new components and to ensure that the Government's HAAS VS-1 machine is working properly with the new parts.The HAAS VS-1 CNC Vertical Milling machine�is proprietary to Phillips Corp.�and no other vendor has the capability for the exact design and performance with the existing machine. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within thirty days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
