Description

This notice announces the intent by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) Pharmaceutical Sciences Branch to procure the V-10 Touch Automated Evaporation System without competition as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Specifically, the Government will procure this system from the Biotage, LLC. The Biotage V-10 Touch Automated Evaporation System is the only evaporation system that meets the Government requirements. The V-10 Touch Automated Evaporation System is the only laboratory evaporator that dramatically impacts organic chemistry workflows by removing liquid-liquid extraction steps and enabling the use of solvents. The Biotage V-10 Touch Automated Evaporation System has a capability of removing of high boiling solvents at moderate temperatures to avoid the decomposition of sensitive products to be used a medical countermeasures against chemical warfare agents. This leads to improvements in sample solubility and benefits synthesis efficiency by allowing a greater range of solvent choice for synthetic steps. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 and PSC 6640. Proposed solicitation number: W81XWH22Q0011. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102 (a)(6) and 5.203(a). USAMRAA intends to publish a solicitation no sooner than 7 days after publishing this synopsis. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects at least seven (7) days after the publication of this notice, the solicitation will be issued as sole source requirement. Interested concerns must identify their capability in writing to the above email address listed above no later than 11:00 AM ET, 01 December 2021.
