THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT OBLIGATED AND WILL NOT PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.� ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. CLOSING DATE: 07 December�2021 The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking potential vendors/manufacturers of submersible bilge pumps to be used for future Navy ship classes. This submersible pump will be responsible for pumping bilge water from the ship�s bilges or dedicated collection spaces to the Oily Waste Holding Tank (OWHT) or an intermediate tank. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333996 � Fluid Power Pump and Motor Manufacturing. A Statement Of Work (SOW) is attached to this sources sought to assist vendors and manufacturers in understanding NSWCCD�s submersible bilge pump requirements.�There is no particular shipboard application/configuration for these pumps yet, we are asking vendors to provide pump offerings encompassing a range of flow rate and pressure options that also meet the other requirements detailed in the Statement of Work. The following upper bounds range are provided: max flow rate range of 140-175 gpm and max head pressure of 50-60 ft. A Solicitation date has not yet been determined. Responses to this sources sought will be used by NSWCCD as market research and for acquisition planning purposes only. If a Solicitation is issued, it will be posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE) https://sam.gov.� All interested parties should respond to the Solicitation separately from this announcement. It is the responsibility of the interested offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. RESPONSES ARE DUE via e-mail to arnel.ngo@navy.mil by 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on 07 December, 2021. The page limit is 25 pages; however, laboratory reports and certification documents do not count towards the 25 page limitation. Responses shall include the following: Company name, website, and physical address, Point of contact, phone number, and E-mail address, Cage number (if applicable) and DUNS number. Company size e.g. small business, large business, or small disadvantaged business Company capability statement to provide a submersible bilge pump and any possible exceptions to the requirements in the SOW. This statement should include at a minimum the following: Experience providing submersible bilge pumps to the Maritime industry, provide examples. Experience providing submersible bilge pumps to the U.S. Navy and foreign Navies; provide examples. If applicable, proof of testing or certification in accordance with commercial or military shock, vibration, or electromagnetic interference requirements. If applicable, information related to airborne and structure borne noise generated by the pump (e.g., any testing performed, measurements, certifications, etc.). List of models and model numbers offered, along with the following information, if available: Unit size (dimensions) Weight Flow rate Horsepower Power requirements Materials of construction and any specific measures recommended by the manufacturer to address galvanic corrosion, if needed. Solids size (diameter) for which the pump is rated Minimum liquid level to which the unit can pump System cost, and other information the vendor or manufacturer deems relevant.
