Description

Army Contracting Command � Detroit Arsenal intends to issue two Letter Request for Proposals (RFPs), one to General Dynamics Land System (GDLS) under Contract W56HZV-19-C-0036 and one to BAE Systems (BAE) under Contract W56HZV-19-C-0035. These Letter RFPs are for updated proposals related to the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Options and System Technical Support (STS) to support the Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF) Vehicle System. The Government originally awarded the two contracts for MPF Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) with two LRIP options to GDLS and BAE on 17 December 2018. �The RFPs include three LRIP Option Years and two years of STS. Under these Letter RFPs, the Government intends to make a single award via a down-select competition to determine the best value to the Government. This will result in one contract modification to either GDLS under W56HZV-19-C-0036 or to BAE under W56HZV-19-C-0035. The RFPs are targeted for release on 5 November 2021. The proposals will be due approximately 60 days after the letter RFPs are released.� Contract award is targeted for 3rd quarter of FY 2022. This is a pre-solicitation notice, otherwise known as a synopsis. The solicitation pertaining to this notice will not be available for a minimum of 15 days from the date of this notice. Offerors shall not contact the Procuring Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist(s) seeking a copy of the solicitation (or other data), as the information will not be available until the solicitation is issued. The contents of any future formal request for proposal (RFP) takes precedence over anything provided in this pre-solicitation notice.
