Contractor and Vendor questions regarding updates for the COVID Safety Protocols are directed to review online Safer Federal Workforce Task Force Guidance issued on September 24, 2021. The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center Cardiac Cath Lab is requesting an Intravascular Lithotripsy (ILV) Generator and Connector Cable Set. This complete set will need to include IVL Generator, IVL Connector Cable and IVL Catheters. The IVL Generator and Connector Cable are to be used exclusively with the IVL Catheters. The IVL Catheter incorporates unique energy emitting transducers inside the distal balloon and is used on highly calcified coronary lesions. The Clement J. Zablocki is requesting only an Intravascular Lithotripsy system uses sonic pressure waves to selectively crack any hardened plaque within the vessels. Not only does this system simplify the procedure, but it also optimizes the outcomes by minimizing trauma to the arteries. All Intravascular Lithotripsy systems submitted by vendors must be FDA approved.
