- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue solicitation N00024-22-R-2316 for the accomplishment of a Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) for three (3) DDG 51 Class guided missile destroyers (DDG 123, 125, and 126) in the homeport of San Diego, California. Based upon industry response to Sources Sought notice N00024-22-R-2316, posted on SAM.gov on 28 September 2021, NAVSEA intends to issue a full and open competitive solicitation in January 2022. A PSA encompasses the correction of Government responsible trial card deficiencies, completion of new work identified between ship custody transfer and the start of PSA, and the incorporation of approved engineering changes and other work items that were not incorporated prior to delivery of the ship to the Navy. The subject procurements requirements include the manpower, support services, material, facilities, and non-standard equipment (and associated technical data and documentation) required to accomplish work items, tests, and post repair sea trials encompassed by the PSA. This is a pre-solicitation notice intended to provide potential offerors with a summary of the forthcoming procurement. This notice is for information only, is subject to modification, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. If a solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via the SAM.gov website located at https://www.sam.gov and interested parties must comply with that announcement. Questions from potential offerors will be accepted after the solicitation is issued. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided or mailed. Interested offerors should monitor the identified website for updates to this procurement.
