Description
Page 3 of 3 Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with ABiomed to provide scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), repair, and software updates for the ABiomed Automated Impella Controller. Services will include all preventative and corrective maintenance as required, OEM only parts used for repairs and PMs, and provide a service loaner if covered equipment is not available for use. The controller is located at Orlando VA Medical Center at Lake Nona. The government will enter into a 5-year, firm fixed-priced agreement with ABiomed. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 13.106-1, only one responsible source reasonably available to satisfy the agency requirements. The applicable NAICS Code is 811219 Other electronic & precision repair and maintenance, with a small business size standard of $22,000,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using products and services to maintain ABiomed Impella Controller(s) to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. SCOPE The contractor shall provide all personnel, parts & labor, transportation, tools, and other items and non-personal services necessary to include: All parts and labor to perform: Preventive maintenance work shall meet or exceed OEM standards, Repairs shall meet or exceed OEM standards; or, Telephone technical & application support. Software updates, as needed. Established response times for telephone support and on-site maintenance and repair services are: SERVICE RESPONSE TIME Telephone support 24/7 Preventive Maintenance within 24 hours Repair services within 48 hours Established records tracking system. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
