Description
Intent to Award Sole Source: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to issue a noncompetitive contract to Kansas State University Kansas City, KS for Rabies Carnivore Serum Samples for USDA APHIS WS, National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC) Ft Collins, CO. �Services will involve have 400 carnivore serum samples tested for endpoint titers of rabies virus neutralizing antibodies using the rapid fluorescent focus inhibition test (RFFIT). Upon receipt of samples, the laboratory needs to store sera at 2-8�C.� We are also requesting that an official report of final - results be provided to USDA NWRC in an Excel spreadsheet showing IU/mL and reciprocal titers for each of the 400 samples. After all testing results are finalized, all samples shall be returned to the Fort Collins, CO NWRC office via standard courier (i.e., UPS or FedEx) at NWRC expense. Testing results are to be sent via email in excel format to point of contact for this project; Amy T. To ensure that all results are within the same testing method as utilized in previous tests to ensure the results are conducted within the same standards as pervious tests. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must be received no later than Dec 15th, 2021. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents should ensure the information provided is detailed, current, accurate, and complete. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government.
