- Energy is among the Army Materiel Command (AMC) Commanding General�s (CG) top priorities.� Related programs maintain high visibility through command levels to the Department of the Army (DA) and Department of Defense (DoD) and reflect interest from the Executive and Legislative branches, as well as industry stakeholders. In coordination with (ICW) DoD and DA, Headquarters AMC (HQAMC) hosts a Utilities and Energy Summit at Redstone Arsenal,15-16 December 2021 to discuss Utilities and Energy-related topics among DoD and Industry Leaders to: 1) Ensure the Army strategy and implementation are synchronized and 2) Communicate to Industry there are opportunities available to support Army Utilities and Energy initiatives. The Utilities and Energy Summit will be a dynamic and proactive forum which advances Army Utilities and Energy programs and activities and provides an opportunity for DoD (Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations Energy and Environment (ASA (IE&E)), Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA) G-9, AMC, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Leaders and Industry Partners to participate in a professional dialogue with an emphasis on innovation and best practices. The Utilities and Energy Summit will take place 15-16 December 2021 at Redstone Arsenal, AL.� Day 1 of the Summit will be for government stakeholders only, to discuss strategy and implementation.� Day 2 of the Summit will include industry stakeholders (onsite with virtual options) with the intent of summarizing Army strategy/plans, discussing way ahead on the Army Climate Strategy, Strategic Energy and Water Resourcing, the Army Energy and Utilities Implementation Plan, and a panel discussion with opportunity for questions and answers (Q&A).� � Location: �Located in the Tennessee Valley Region of North Alabama, the Energy and Utilities Summit will be hosted by the U.S. Army Materiel Command, in the John J. Sparkman Complex, Bob Jones Auditorium, Building 5304, Redstone Arsenal, AL. Registration and Access to Redstone Arsenal: All expenses associated with attendance will be the responsibility of the participant(s).� Attendees are required to RSVP/pre-register online. �Registration will close on Friday, 10 December 2021. Check-in at the John J. Sparkman Center, Building 5300 will start at 0715 daily. If you need a Redstone Arsenal Visitor Badge, please fill out the attached Redstone Arsenal MAX Request Form for installation access at:� https://pass.aie.army.mil/rsa/ AND send an email to dina.d.boley.civ@army.mil Badges will be available at Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 and Gate 1 Visitor Control Center. You must present a current photo ID (driver's license, military ID, or passport) matching the attendee information submitted via the Registration site to gain entry. �Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in. � This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. �The U.S. Army Materiel Command, and Team Redstone will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
