The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a Market Survey/ Request for Information to improve the Government�s understanding of the current marketplace and to identify qualified and capable sources for Electric Aircraft Propulsion/Motor Systems Training.� This announcement is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) of any kind.� Interested sources must respond with information outlining their qualifications and capabilities to provide technical training to FAA employees. The FAA intends to review all submittals to establish the acquisition strategy and to develop a budget for future training requirements.� Responses to this market survey will be used to determine the capabilities and availabilities of interested sources in the market and will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB) or Small Business, or open it up to full and open competition.� This market survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) section 3.2.1.2.1.� NAICS Code:� 611519 or 611512� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �� Requirement: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Academy (AMA), is seeking interested sources that are capable of providing training on emerging electric aircraft propulsion systems. �The FAA is currently looking for a course that runs 1 � 3 days in length and covers the following areas of interest: A general high level overview of the electric propulsion system, including gearbox interconnections, overhaul vs repair vs Remove & Replace Level of Maintenance that can be done at a field level Electric engine special requirements or issues to include unique degradation modes Electric engine interface with Aircraft Alert System Power Supply and distribution in order to support intended aircraft operation Electric engine history up to current and upcoming technology (evolution)��������������������������� The FAA is looking for commercial off the shelf (COTS) courses capable of meeting the needs of the Government.�� The FAA would ask that all respondents provide a course outline or syllabus for Government review as well as Rough order of Magnitude (ROM) for budgetary purposes only (Vendor format). About your organization: Does your organization currently hold FAA approved training program(s) for aviation related training? When required per a SIR, the approved program must include a course syllabus, including proposed additions/changes, in sufficient detail to determine compliance with the minimum hourly requirements of the effort. What is the current facility capacity/capability for students within your organization?� Is your organization capable of providing this training in either in-person or virtual formats? Ability to meet regulatory requirements relating to: Workspace Safety Environmental Impact Quality Assurance Programmatic and personnel changes Classroom/Training Facility Security Capability Statement � This document should identify: Type of training provided by your firm Size and type of training provided by previous contracts (provide detailed information and past performance) Number of years in business Geographic area where training will be provided Expected approach � Respondents must provide their strategy for accomplishing this work. All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead and include a brief synopsis (15 pages or less) describing the proposed training for planning purposes of the FAA. �Vendors should provide documentation that clearly demonstrates the interested vendor is capable of providing the required services.� Questions and Comments: The Government welcomes questions regarding this market survey/RFI. Respondents are encouraged to review the identified requirements and provide comments.
