- Description
- This Request for Information (RFI) is part of a market research effort by the Coast Guard Research and Development Center (RDC) to assess advancements in mitigation technologies that reduce the negative impacts of interior boat cockpit lighting and exterior ambient lighting on Night Vision Goggle (NVG) capability. Coast Guard coxswains currently use NVGs as one of the tools to conduct several missions while using various small boat platforms. This RFI is requesting solutions to decrease the negative impacts caused by interior and exterior lighting on NVG performance. The RDC intends to use the information collected from this RFI to conduct an analysis that evaluates technology readiness, applicability and improvements to NVG capability. You are invited to respond with information to assist the RDC with its market research to identify NVG mitigation technologies for interior cockpit lighting and exterior ambient lighting impacts.
