- Page 3 of 3 SPECIAL NOTICE INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration, intends to negotiate a short-term sole source contract with Chemical Containers, Inc DUNS 101869246. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.501(a) Sole source (including brand name) acquisitions. The contract will be firm-fixed-price, and the NAICS Code is 333318. The Department of Veterans Affairs requires the contractor to provide Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery and Fort Snelling National Cemetery with a Chevy 4500 LCF Gas Cab Chassis (2ea). The units will have a 150 in wheel base and 14,500 GVW. The units will not have a stake bed or upfit. The unit will be a chassis only. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A solicitation is attached to this notice. If a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products to the Contracting Officer no later than 11:00AM PST, December 14, 2021. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Brian Trahan at brian.trahan@va.gov. Verbal responses will not be considered. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Chemical Containers, Inc.
