Description
Questions and Answers: Are you looking for a ""contracted"" number of rooms to be held for the VA each night?  Yes, we are looking for a contracted number of rooms to be held for the VA each night.  If so, does the VA pay for all rooms held each night, whether they are used or not?  No, the VA will not pay for unused rooms. Or is there a ""release"" date that you can tell the hotel to release your rooms, and then the VA does not pay?   The rooms may be released if the VA does not schedule by 5:00pm, 2 days in advance.   On the below request it notes 3-diamond, will you accept 3-star as well?  Yes, 3 stars or 3 diamonds. Will you consider a hotel that is further than the 5 miles? No In the SOW, Section 1.G it notes the contractor will not be paid for any lodging if the veteran is admitted to any medical facility.  Will the VA be informing the contractor when/if the veteran is admitted to a medical facility?  Yes, the VA will notify the hotel when a Veteran will not be returning. If the VA fails to notify the contractor will the VA pay for the lodging?  If the VA fails to notify the hotel that the Veteran will not be returning the VA will pay the previously authorized reservation date.   Also, if a lone veteran, with no caregiver, is admitted for inpatient care at their appointment, will the VA cover any lodging charges associated with the veteran s belongings left in the hotel room? No, the VA will make arrangements to pick up the Veteran s belongings.
