Description
Questions for RFQ 36C25622Q0180 Is there an incumbent contractor currently performing these services or is this a new requirement?  The incumbent contractor is American Surgical Instrument Repair LLC; these services have been performed in the past.  This is a new requirement. If this is a follow-on requirement, please provide the previous and/or current contract number?   The current contract was 36C256-19-C-0007, which expired on 09/30/2021. Does the contract include endoscopes, power equipment, light sources, containers and hand pieces? The contract includes containers. Is a list of trays available? No, a list of trays is not available. How many completed instrument trays per week total are expected in terms of volume for this contract? Approximately 500 instruments to be serviced weekly, either in loose quantities or as sets of trays, or both. How many days per week on service visits are expected to fulfill the demands from the customer? One day per week. What is the name of the incumbent vendor for this contract? Refer to question #1. What was the winning bid amount for this contract by the incumbent vendor? The overall total for the previous current was $195,000.00. Questions for RFQ 36C25622Q0180 (Cont d) On page 15 of the solicitation under the SOW, in sections 1a and 1g there is mention of laparoscopic specialty trays and instruments.  Do the costs to repair laparoscopic (or any specialty instruments) have to be included in the cost schedule for this solicitation, or would the charges be billed separate outside of this contract? The cost to repair laparoscopic (or any specialty instruments) must be in included in cost schedule, the charges would not be billed separately. Does this customer have additional equipment repairs such as endoscopes, case carts, etc., that they would want the awarded vendor to have the capability to service? Yes, SPS would need repair services for case carts. Biomed services or sends out endoscope repairs. Does this customer have the need to have their steam sterilizer chambers professionally cleaned?  If so, what interval would they prefer (annually, semi-annually, quarterly)? No, the manufacturer cleans the sterilizers. If the customer has a need for additional specialty repair services, e.g., case cart repairs, endoscopy, sterilizer chamber cleanings, what would be the estimated timeframe for them to have these services to begin? As soon as the contract is finalized in December 2021.
