Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24222B0018, Project Number 620A4-15-105 Elevator and Roof Replacement Building 15H and 21A at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Castle Point Campus, 41 Castle Point Road, Wappingers Falls, New York 12590. This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $39.5 Million. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, maintain egress and personnel necessary to accomplish the construction of the replacement of elevator shaft, cars, controls, roofs and all relative lifting equipment in building 15H, and 21A at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Castle Point, New York. The square footage of the affected area that includes the two elevator shafts in multiple floors and the 2 machine rooms approximately is 19000 square feet combined. The contractor shall adhere to all accompanying drawings, specifications, and any local and federal codes, regulations, and procedures that apply. The deliverables shall include but not be limited to: selective demolition, asbestos abatement, masonry work, structural and nonstructural concrete placement, firestopping, plumbing including sanitary and vents, pump stations, hot and cold water piping, Fire Alarm and sprinkler systems, carpentry including rough and finish framing, flooring systems, painting, telecom and computer cabling and networking equipment installation, electrical power distribution and control system installation, and equipment installation and commissioning. Work includes, but is not limited to all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to perform demolition/installation of the following. Roof replacement above both elevators shafts as well as the roof of building 15H Replace the current two elevators in building 15H and two elevators in building 21A Eliminate hazardous material during demolition. The new installation should be up to the current building and fire code. Replace and Upgrade the controller for elevators to be Non-proprietary controllers and PLCs. Replace all lifting equipment in both duplex such as hydraulic tanks, motors hydraulic Jacks, hydraulic valves include Rupture valves. Replacement All elevators cars include the cars frames, car doors, doors operators and other cars accessories. Replace The elevator shafts rails and roof insulation, vents, and walls structural. Full load acceptance test with VA representative existence. Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize construction duration and shall be expected to plan work typically during duty hours of the Medical Center, other than utilities-ins or work required in the COR s opinion to be performed during off duty hours. Maintain all access to and egress from the building at all times for facility s fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc. Project Completion: 730 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.beta.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about December 23, 2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be emailed. No hand-carried bids will be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet) and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
