What is the amount of hours each month the previous contractor spent on site at each location to provide the pest services to all areas outlined within the scope of service? Does the government consider this service adequate? A.1. The contractor provided weekly pest control and weed abatement services for approximately 6 to 8 hours on Fridays and any after hour and emergency pest control issues within 2 hours from being contacted. Yes, this service was adequate Q.2. How many after hours service requests at each site have then been in the past 12 months? A.2. 50 to 60 calls over the past 12 months Q.3. What are the regular service days for these sites? A.3. Every Friday Q.4. What is the number of bed bug service requests at each site over the past 12 months? A.4. 30 to 40 calls Q.5. Has any of the scope of service changed from this Solicitation compared to that of the last awarded contract? A.5. No Q.6. Will the government offer any additional preference to SDVOSB pest control contractors even though this solicitation is a small business set-aside? A.6. The current period of performance is 10/1/20 9/30/21. Q.9. The SOW (page 8) under Specific Tasks section within the solicitation provides limitations on interior services which appear to exclude ER, waiting rooms/area, common restrooms and all patient rooms. How does the government manage bed bugs in these areas where bed bugs are commonly found in medical facilities? A.9. With our in-house pest controller. Q.10. The SOW (page 8) under Specific Tasks section, subsection 2.3 C within the solicitation indicates that ""weed control"" is included. Can the government confirm that weed management is included under this solicitation and if weed management is included can the square footage of areas and areas of coverage of service be provided? A.10. Yes. weed abatement is included, please refer to the solicitation for square footage Q.11. The SOW (page 8) under Specific Tasks section, subsection 2.3 G within the solicitation indicates that ""Wood Product Pests"" Can the government provide definition of wood product pests? Can the government confirm that wood destroying pests is included under this solicitation and if wood destroying pests is included can the square footage of areas and areas of coverage of service be provided? A.11 Yes, wood destroying pests is included in the square footage, please refer to the solicitation for square footage Q.12. The SOW (page 8) under Specific Tasks section, subsection 2.3 F within the solicitation indicates that ""Ornamental plants pests"" is included. Can the government confirm that ornamental plant pests are included under this solicitation and if so can the square footage of areas and areas of coverage of service be provided? A.12. Yes. Ornamental plant pests are included in the SOW for solicitation please refer to the solicitation for square footage Q.13. The SOW (page 8) under Specific Tasks section, subsection 2.5 within the solicitation indicates that ""Gopher Control"" is included. Can the government confirm that gopher control services are included under this solicitation and if so can the square footage of areas and areas of coverage of service be provided? A.13. Yes. gopher is included in the solicitation please refer to the solicitation for square footage Q.14. The government indicates under Instructions to Offers (page 42-43) Section 3 item SP1 Specialized Experience Certified Pest Control Technicians with at least 3 years experience in a hospital setting yet the solicitation does not mention the experience of the company or the required licensing for general pests, wood destroying pests, gophers or ornamental pests. Can the government provide the required pest licensing for each contractor and each pest technician for this solicitation? A.14. The Structural Pest Control Board License and the Department of Pesticide Regulation Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC). Q.15 PDF Page 8 of 63 states the ""Estimated Area of Facility Coverage Before Construction."" Do you have an estimated area size after construction is completed? Will there be any SF changes to the indoor & outdoor service area? A.15 The hospital itself is 940,000 square foot and the actual landscape area size will not change since we are building on what is already in place with no extra landscape being added, there s no changes to the indoor/ outdoor service area with the exception of the new SCI/CLC building which will be 197,000 sq. ft. when completed. Please refer to the solicitation for square footage that is needed to be covered. Q.16 When is construction estimated to be completed by? A.16 Scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2024 Q.17 How many trappings of animals are to be expected each year? A.17 No more than 5 per year
