- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: 36C24522Q0060 SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS BY NO MEANS A SOLICITATION FOR BUSINESS. THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOUR COMPANY FOR SUBMITTING INFORMATION. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION WILL BE USED AS A BASIS FOR SUBSEQUENT AWARD OR NON-AWARD. Contract Title Annual preventative maintenance services for a Liquid Chromatography (LC) system Background The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) requires preventative maintenance on an Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system for its research and development (R&D) service. The LC system is a fully automated way to separate, identify and quantify the different components of a liquid mixture, or to purify one. The VAMHCS R&D service purchased the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system in 2020, a new system would cost approximately $50,000. Therefore, it makes it more cost effective to maintain the one the lab already owns. Work and Scope The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system requires yearly maintenance to ensure continuing efficiency and accuracy. An LC system running within specific parameters is necessary to monitor the experimental therapies that treat neurodegenerative diseases in laboratory mice. Specific Tasks The primary task to be accomplished is to maintain the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system within normal operating parameters and safety standards. VENDOR REQUIREMENTS ALL SERVICE REQUIREMENTS SHALL: USE OEM PARTS BE A CERTIFIED ISO-9000 VENDOR CERTIFY THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE OEM PARTS WHEN NECESSARY PROVIDE SOFTWARE UPDATES/UPGRADES *if needed, third party may buy the software updates/upgrades and provide them Task 1 - Enterprise Management Controls Subtask 1 - Integration Management Control Planning The contractor will provide service and maintenance to the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system consisting of: 1260 Infinity II Quaternary Pump, maximum pressure 600bar. Includes quaternary pump with integrated 4-channel degassing unit, column, connecting capillaries, solvent cabinet, solvent bottles and CAN cable 1260 Infinity II Multisampler up to 600 bar for well plates and individual sample containers. Includes 1 sample drawer, 2x 54-vial containers, a needle flush port, 100 uL metering device and loop. 1260 Infinity II Multicolumn Thermostat (MCT) 1260 Infinity II Diode array detector WR 1260 Infinity II Analytical Fraction Collector maximum rate up to 10 mL/min OpenLab ChemStation workstation The system was purchased from Agilent technologies. The COR will inspect and discuss with the Principal Investigator of the laboratory to confirm that contracting tasks have been progressed and performed in accordance with SOW and in timely manner. Deliverables Annual preventative maintenance and services for the Agilent 1260 Infinity LC system. Subtask 2 - Contract Management PM coverage to include all the necessary components required to perform scheduled PM inspections and service on the Agilent 1260 Infinity LC system. Deliverables: Upon completion of routine PM inspections or emergency service calls, the vendor will provide a written summary of all tasks accomplished, including any observations and recommendations concerning any associated equipment and systems. Performance Monitoring The Principal Investigator of the laboratory using the device will ensure validity of work and if the need arises work with the COR to arrange for technical support by phone and email for the device. Security Requirements Vendor service technicians are to have identification badging visible on their person while on VA premises, and are subject to Federal Installation Security Requirements, including inspection of any containers, equipment or vehicles as required. Inspection and Acceptance Criteria Acceptance based on device operating within normal parameters. If your company is a small business and an authorized distributor/reseller for the types of items required with the characteristics referenced above, do you alter; assemble; or modify; the items requested in any way? Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the VA NAC or a GWAC contract holder with any other federal agency? If so, please provide the contract number. General pricing of your products is encouraged. Pricing will be used for the purpose of market research only. It will not be used to evaluate for any type of award.
