- Description
- The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Bremerton, Washington intends to award a stand-alone Firm-Fixed-Price contract to accomplish maintenance, repairs, and preservation on Utility Float (UF) 9. The UF 9 equipment characteristics can be found in section 1.1 of the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor�s facility must possess the capability of accommodating the UF with the characteristics as found in the SOW. Coordinate with the Contracting Officer, via the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to deliver the vessel to the Contractor�s facility. Upon docking the vessel, wash and clean the vessel. Remove existing rubber fenders and associated hardware; retain hardware and fasteners for installation after sweep-blast cleaning. Remove existing and install new zinc anodes. Preserve interior and exterior of tank covers and replace all gaskets. Apply a touch-up coating system to each tank/void. Remove section of main deck, bottom hull plating, and existing structural members to be considered interference for the purpose of installing a Moon Pool where the removed decking and bottom hull plating is accomplished. Blast and preserve main deck, hull, freeboard, Moon Pool, and components. Install step platform and diver�s ladder within the Moon Pool. Apply new non-skid and coating system to the main deck. Install new lifelines located at the barge perimeter of the vessel and Moon Pool perimeter. Arrange and coordinate the delivery of the vessel back to the Government with the Contracting Officer via the COR. The Period of Performance (PoP) is scheduled to be from 1 Mar 2022 through 3 May 2022. This is a total small business set-aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 336611, size 1,250 employees. The Government intends award a Firm-Fixed Price, stand-alone contract in February 2022 to the responsible contractor on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis in accordance with but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.101-2. Offerors can view and/or download the draft notional work specifications for review at https://sam.gov. All offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) to receive award of Government contracts. Offerors are advised also that SAM representations and certifications can be completed electronically via the System for Award Management website at https://www.sam.gov.
