Description
A Sources Sought announcement was posted on December 7, 2021. This is an amendment to the announcement as some of the information provided was incorrect. This is an amendment to the previous Sources Sought is to provide updated specification information. Please see the information listed below on the specifications. SPECIFICATIONS: The specifications below replace the previous specifications in the Sources Sought Notice posted on December 7, 2021. Mild Steel Casing Pipe: The mild steel casing pipe shall be furnished in 20-foot lengths +/- � inch. Mild steel casing pipe shall be fabricated of mild steel, .375"" wall conforming to the specifications below and shall have beveled end for the welding. The ends shall be beveled on the outside to an angle of 35 degrees with a tolerance of plus or minus 2 � degrees and with a width of root face 1/16"" plus or minus 1/32"" edges for welding. Pipe shall be single joint welded electronically, welded pipe constructed with only one parallel seam. No spiral welded pipe will be allowed. Pipe shall be rolled to allow less than +/-1/32"" diameter deviation from roundness and weld intrusion to the inner pipe. The 20' section of pipe shall be made from one continuous plate material and not spliced to construct the full pipe length of 20'. Mild steel pipe supplied shall meet the requirements ASTM 252-grade 2 or 3 ERW welded seamed pipe or ASTM A 53 grade B ERW weld seamed pipe. Stainless Steel Well Screens: The furnished well screen shall be 16"" diameter wire wrapped, continuous slot, and large diameter type 304 stainless steel with the various slot widths from 0.010"" to .060"". The supplied stainless steel well screen shall be designed for two maximum collapse depths as follows: 1. Shallow - Collapse depth of 600 feet 2. Deep - Collapse depth of 1200 feet The supplied stainless-steel well screen shall be designed for a maximum collapse depth of 600 feet and shall be supplied with 6"" weld rings on both ends. Slot openings shall be clean and free of burrs. Well screen shall be fabricated from corrosion resistant type 304 stainless steel, cold drawn or cold rolled, wire or bars meeting the requirements of ASTM A493-09 (2009). The screen shall be fabricated by circumferentially wrapping a wire around a circular internal core of longitudinal rods with each intersection between wire wrapping and support rods and securely welded. Wire wrapping shall be wedge shaped with the narrow end welded to the longitudinal rods. Well screen shall be furnished in nominal 10-foot and 20-foot lengths. The end fittings for the supplied well screen shall be Type 304 stainless steel with 6"" weld rings on both ends and shall be the minimum length required for adequate strength at the joints between the screen sections. End fittings shall be machine beveled for butt welding. The well screen and all accessories required shall be suitable for the intended use and shall be the product of a manufacturer regularly engaged in the production of wire wrapped well screen materials. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 331210, Iron and Steel Pipe and Tube Manufacturing from Purchased Steel with a corresponding small business size standard of 1,000 employees. Statement as whether the firm manufacturers the end product or not. 6. Identify if the product is American made or not. 7. Size status/SBA certifications (Small business, Women Owned Small Business, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, other) 8. Capability Statement (not to exceed 6 pages). A brief summary of capabilities to include demonstration of the company's capability to perform the work. Previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity to include references with point of contact information. Customary lead times for these types of items. Any known or foreseeable issues with manufacturing these types of items. All responses must be submitted via email no later than 12:00 Noon Pacific Time, December 21, 2021.
