- This is a sources-sought announcement only for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to accomplish market research and support planning for the below listed requirements. The Government will not pay for any information or reimburse any costs incurred in responding to this RFI. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be listed on the SAM.gov website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The government is seeking interested contractors to provide a source of supply for Terminal Electronics Unit (TEU) Fan, NSN 4140-01-44-1306.� This fan is used to cool the Terminal Electronics Unit during operation of Advanced, Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical-Terminal (SMART-T) system. Please Note: The Government is not in possession of the technical data package, so this will not be released as a part of this procurement action. Requested Response Information: Sources that can manufacture or supply the listed part are requested to submit information to show their capability to manufacture or supply this part.� Request that interested contractors provide the following: 1. A description of your company's expertise and experience in providing SMART-T support. 2. Describe, in general, your company's approach to developing the capability to provide SMART-T support activities which include past procurement and integration of the NSN's listed above into the system. Interested firms who believe they are capable of providing the above mentioned items are invited to indicate their interest by providing the following information to the contract specialist listed below: � Company name, company address, overnight delivery address (if different from mailing address, Cage Code, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number. Business size (i.e. large, small disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc.) Affirmation of cleared personnel. A description of the company's expertise in providing manufacturing expertise and producing hardware as identified above. The company's experience in meeting contractual due dates for similar type efforts. � All responses shall be unclassified. All assumptions, including any assumed Government support, shall be clearly identified. All proprietary and restricted information shall be clearly marked. Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business.� Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.
