Description
Design-Build of a Compound Emergency Sanctuary, US Consulate Dubai, UAE The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to issue a Firm Fixed-Price Design/Build Construction type contract during the first quarter of calendar year 2022. The successful contractor shall perform all professional design and construction services required for the new Compound Emergency Sanctuaries (CES) at the U.S. Consulate General in Dubai, UAE The new CES shall occupy the existing room located on compound. The space must be entirely bound on all sides by the existing walls and limits. The new CES shall include a six-sided 15-min FEBR envelop.� The bottom of the six-sided envelop shall utilize the existing concrete slab-on-grade, the walls shall include new 15-min FEBR steel construction with a FEBR door (instead of the existing metal door), and the ceiling shall include new 15-min FEBR steel construction. The existing non-weight bearing walls can be fully removed and replaced with a new 15-min FEBR envelop around the room, maintaining the size of the room, 7160 mm (L) x 3770 mm (W) x 3000 mm (H).� Creating a new 15-min FEBR steel �box� at the location.� The new steel walls shall be furred with metal studs and drywall on both sides.� Extend the drywall partition above the new FEBR box walls and ceiling to the roof ceiling of the existing building to enclose surrounding spaces.� Install a 1.5-meter square access hatch on the corridor side to provide access to building systems installed above the FEBR box.� Apply two-coats of finish paint to all drywall surfaces to match existing. The steel framing for the new 15-min FEBR walls and ceiling shall utilize DS-certified framing system. This steel system shall be prefabricated and allow for expedient installation without the need for field welding. The magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $250,000 and $500,000 U.S. Dollars for the entire project. In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), it will be necessary for your organization to possess authorization to operate and do business in the country in which this contract will be performed. Contractors shall be required to provide: a.�� A thorough description as to what steps you have taken to investigate all requirements to obtain authorization to perform in the given country, b.�� Details of your findings and a description of what your organization will be required to undertake to obtain licensing, and c.�� Specific information concerning the period of time you anticipate it will take to obtain appropriate authorization. You will be required to provide information that clearly shows you are able to perform work in Nepal.� Any entry or work visa issues requirements must be clearly discussed with a plan to mitigate any risk clearly identified.� Irrevocable Letters of Credit (ILOC):� The successful contractor will be required to provide the government with surety in the form of Irrevocable Letters of Credits totaling 40% of the value of the contract.� If you have a Duns number* and have been SAM** registered, please include below.
