Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a service contract, prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 70Z04022Q60312Y00 applies, and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-03 (JUL 2019). This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611 and the business size standard is 1000 PPL. U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract.� Chill Water Pipe Covering/Insulation Services for 225� USCGC ELM (WLB-204) Location: Coast Guard Base Tongue Point, Astoria, OR * Period of Performance: The start date is February 21st, 2022 to February 25th, 2022. ** YARD POC: Justin Price (410) 636-3992 QUOTES ARE DUE BY NLT 10:00 AM EST on or before Tuesday, December 21st, 2021. ** STATEMENT OF WORK. ** The Coast Guard requires contractor services for marine pipe cover / insulator services to occur at the Coast Guard Base Astoria OR. The services required shall be performed on-board 225� USCGC ELM. The contractor services shall insulate the chilled Water Piping system using Coast Guard drawing as references. The insulation services will be required in various locations on-board the ship. The piping to be insulated will vary in size from �� to 5�. The type of insulation to be installed shall be Armaflex AP, or equal. The type of jacket to be installed is brattice cloth and sealfas over the Armaflex insulation. Insulation thickness shall be �� (MIL-P-15280). The contractor will be required to insulate various irregular shaped items such as valves, fittings and flanges. In addition, the contractor shall provide all materials, personal and equipment needed to perform all work as required. Insulation of Chilled Water Piping is required upon completion of the cutter availability. Piping installation may not be 100% IAW the drawing, so a site survey may be required to insure all pipe sizes and materials needed. The CG YARD prefers the contractor shall perform this work on second shift, starting anytime after 16:00hrs. Contractor shall check in with the Ship�s superintendant, pipe shop foreman, or leader at the beginning of each work day. The Coast Guard Yard will provide drawings 225-WLB-514-007, and 225-WLB-514-008 for insulating guidance. The period of performance may shift based on schedule.� Contact the Ship Superintendent for final verification.
