Description
NOTE: The following questions and answers for the UPS System 1. RE: UPS #2 - 120kW System. There is no specification for a maintenance bypass cabinet. Please confirm if that is required and if there is wall mounting space in the room for a wall-mounted external bypass panel. The space allocated for the UPS and Batteries would not allow for an adjacent external bypass cabinet. Answer: The 120kw system (Uptown) Maintenance bypass cabinet will not be replaced. 2. Is there sufficient storage space in the facility or at the loading dock to stage the equipment that is removed or the equipment that is to be installed? Answer: Yes 3. Are there special access requirements for the facility? Or will they become relevant only to the successful bidder? Answer: They will become relevant only to the successful bidder. 4. Is there a notification requirement for shutdown of the services and devices currently served and protected by the existing UPSs? Answer: Yes:  For Uptown they will only loss battery back system, because we are not replacing the Maintenance bypass cabinet.  For Downtown we will have a shutdown of power, because we need to replace the Maintenance bypass cabinet 5. Are there drawings or photographs available that depict the units to be removed or the general work area? Answer: No, However, a Site Visit will be scheduled January 5, 2022 6. If there are no photos or descriptions etc., available, is it possible to perform a site visit on Friday 16 December or Saturday 17 December? Answer: No 7 Is the VAMC already working with a vendor on this particular opportunity or is this an O&M generated RFQ?
