Description

631-21-003 Upgrade Sanitary Sewer Phase 2, VA Medical Center Central Western Massachusetts Procurement Number: 36C24122B0003 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for bids will be posted on or about January 6, 2022. The VA Central Western Massachusetts (CWM) located in Leeds, MA has a requirement for a Firmed Fixed Price construction project that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform work under the 631-21-003 Upgrade Sanitary Sewer Phase 2 project. The general scope of this project is to upgrade the existing sanitary sewer system (Phase 2). The project consists of removing and replacing approximately 6000 LF of exterior sanitary sewer piping as well as associated manhole work as described in the contract documents. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237110 and the size standard $39.5 million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
