- Description
- The Forest Service is pursuing a competitive five (5) year (base year plus four one-year options) multiple award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for professional geospatial services. The Government anticipates making three (3) awards from this action. The approximate start date for the contract(s) is 01 November 2022. The programmatic ceiling amount of the award is $50M. It is anticipated the formal RFP will be released as a 100% small business set-aside. The Geospatial Technology and Applications Center (GTAC) is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and is a detached unit of Washington Office Engineering and a component of the Geospatial Management Office (GMO). A main function of GTAC is to provide Geospatial Information System (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), remote sensing, and other geospatial support and services to a variety of customers within and outside of the FS. Traditionally, the center has provided these services via two similar but differing contract vehicles: The National Geospatial Services Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity ID/IQ contract is a government-wide Agency support contract, and has been provided to the agency for over two (2) decades. The Remote Sensing and Geospatial Services (RSGTSS) contract, also an ID/IQ contract was established to provide professional support services internal to GTAC. This contract has provided unique business functions to GTAC such as national service center coordination, technology evaluation, training, remote sensing helpdesk support, operational support, GIS application, analysis and geospatial data and product delivery using the FS enterprise geospatial software. The Government is merging the requirements of the RSGTSS contract with this contract for National Geospatial Services in an effort to reduce duplicative contracts in the USDA Forest Service.
