- A.1 TECHNICAL QUESTIONS: Security Screeners In the Scope of Work at the beginning of B.3 refers to One Security Screener at the Hedrick Street Gate between 6:00 pm 6:00 am (per the below schedule) will provide pedestrian and vehicle traffic control in a manner to ensure the traffic is being directed in a safe manner. However, the Coverage table indicates that 2 people are required 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Can the government please clarify which schedule is correct. Requirement Need is for (1) person in the roadway @ the established checkpoint 24/7 to perform Security Screening and After Hours COVID Screening. One (1) security guard is to remain on duty 24/7. All breaks and lunches must be staffed by contractor. The number of individuals needed to accomplish this requirement will be determined by the contractor. Is a Security and patrol license through NC DPS required for this role? Yes. This would ensure proper background checks are conducted. The Contractor will be issued a radio that is on the secured Police radio channel and will be able to hear sensitive radio transmissions The hours in the pricing section appear to match 1 person for 24 hours per day 7 days per week or 2 people 12 hours per day 7 days per week but this does not align with the description of each line item. please correct. (1) Person 24/7 Please confirm that this is a security guard role. Yes this is a security guard role Please confirm that this is an unarmed role. Yes. Position is Unarmed Will the screener be provided shelter while on duty, is the shelter climate controlled? There is a climate-controlled booth in the area but the post/position is within the roadway at the Facility entrance. There is no available physical shelter within the roadway. Government is asking for relevant Past performance. Would SCA personnel staffing or program support services be sufficient past performance? Yes. What is the anticipated start date? 01/01/2022 What is the anticipated award date? 12/28/2021 How many guards per shift is needed? For Screening/Traffic Control operations Who is the incumbent, if any, what is the contract value, and scope of work? REDCON Security is the current contractor Do the screeners conduct security officer functions? Traffic Control & Reporting of Emergent Issues like Ambulance Arrival via radio Only. Can you please provide the total number of hours per month needed so that the vendor can provide a reasonable, fair and accurate quote? (1) Person 24/7 Monthly. Hours will vary by days within the Month. Are Covid-19 screeners expected to stay on location for breaks? If so, are breaks billable? Request is for a fixed price contract with (1) Person on Duty and within the roadway conducting screening 24/7. Breaks and requirements to remain on location should be determined by the contractor. Current contractor covers breaks by utilizing part-time employees Please see below for the updated required coverage Coverage: The Contractor shall provide Security Screening Services to ensure coverage for the periods stated in the Price/Cost Schedule and as noted in this Statement of Work. In addition to the basic hours of coverage, the Contractor shall provide on-call security coverage as needed (including after hours, weekends and Federal Holidays) to respond ensure screening coverage and traffic control at the entrance(s). A copy of the weekly duty schedule will be provided to the COR.
