Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice and no solicitation currently exists. This Notice is to help locate potential sources that may be interested and capable to fulfill this requirement and is being used as a means of market research for planning purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Salem Nursing Services Located at 1970 Roanoke Blvd. Salem, VA has a need to procurement for twenty (20) Full-Time-Employees FTE) s (41,600 hours) to provide On-Site Certified Registered Nurses (RN) services to gap-fill VA Staff staffing shortages. Note: The number of FTE RN s being explore will be needed for approximately six (6) months Base period plus an additional possible six (6) months Option period of performance to be exercised at the Government discretion with an estimated contract start date of 01 Mar 2022. The nurses will be providing staffing support to our medical specialty areas that includes Medical/Surgical units, Intensive Care Units, High Consequence Infection unit (HCI) and inpatient Mental Health unit and the Emergency Department.  Staffing is provided during business hours on-site only, and the nurses will provide coverage for all shifts in a 24-hour period, seven days per week, 365 days per years, to include 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, as specified by the units. Delivery of direct patient care will be provided in inpatients areas and the Emergency Department of the medical center 100% of the time. Please respond if you have the ability and intent to complete this requirement. The need for the RN nurses being requested is URGENT and therefore, only firms that can show proof of true capability to fulfill the requirement will be considered for selection to participate in response to the actual Request for Quote (RFQ) document. Therefore, please include in your response to this Source Sought request a copy of your capabilities statement and your response to the following questions listed below : Describe how your company will meet all the requirements described in the attached Performance Work Statement. If your firm is a Small Business under the applicable NAICS, can your company meet the requirements specified in FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting? Is your firm able to provide all the requested twenty 20 RNs by the beginning of the performance period. Failure to submit answers to the question listed below in response to this source sought will result in your firm not being selected to participate to respond to the RFQ . Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size and business socio-economic category (i.e., Large Business, Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), Hub Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, etc.), service capability statement, information from recent and relevant projects similar in nature, DUNS number, company address, and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The anticipated NAICS Code for this requirement is 561320. The Department of Veterans Affairs shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by the contractor as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
