- Description
- USACE Europe District plans to solicit proposals for a design-build construction contract for the Renovation of the Kindergarten located in Voru, Estonia. The Voru Kindergarten teaches 210 local children and is one of four in the town.� The project will renovate the interior of the building to meet safety and sanitary requirements. The building currently has problems with uneven and therefore dangerous floors, humidity damage to the walls, unsafe electrical system, and inadequate lighting. The USACE plans to include basic criteria in the contract solicitation, with the intent to award a single construction contract to a design-build construction contractor that will complete the building renovation.� The Government currently has prioritized the renovation as follows: � Full reconstruction of the electrical system, lighting included, communication system and security systems are not included. � Finish ceilings and/or install suspended ceilings � Level floors, install new floor covering � Finish interior walls � Replace interior doors � Replace sanitary equipment in bathrooms � Demolition: Demolition is only required to meet the requirements of the renovation listed above.
