Notice of Intent to Sole Source THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference#: N0025922N0018. Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government�s needs, to: Hologic Inc. 250 Campus Dr Marlborough, MA 01752-3020 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325413; the business size standard is 1250 (# of employees). The objective of this sole source award is to procure Panther Analyzer reagents and consumables to conduct critical testing for patients and beneficiaries. Aptima SARS-CoV-2 Assay, EUA, 250-Test���������������������������� �������������� QTY: 12 Kit Aptima SARS-CoV-2 Controls, EUA�������������������������������������������������������� QTY: 12 Kit Fusion Specimen Lysis Tubes, 100/Bag���������������������������������������������������� QTY: 60 Bag The reagents are used with laboratory testing equipment, machines and other medical devices to test and diagnose patients for various medical conditions and diseases. These reagents are temperature sensitive and have wide variations of shelf life stability. Reagents must have at least 6 months remaining shelf life upon receipt at Navy Medicine Readiness & Training Command (NMRTC) Yokosuka and must also still have shelf life remaining until after the next shipment of the same item arrives to ensure no expired materials are used by NMRTC Yokosuka. Items must arrive within manufacturer temperature range as well. NMRTC Yokosuka lab instruments, equipment and medical devices have been tested, calibrated and inspected using College of American Pathologist�s accredited standard operating procedures for use with these specific manufacturer�s reagents. The supplies, reagents and other consumables will be provided by Hologic Inc. The requirement is for one year delivery of items from time of award, plus four (4) option quantities. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work and are able to provide valid certification to provide the required reagents and consumables validated by Hologic Inc.� Capability statements shall not exceed 6 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point.� All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order.
