Description
This is a notification of an intent to award a contract to Aesculap under NAICS code 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing Contractors by Indian Health Services under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The Indian Health Service currently has a need for providing Surgical Machinery Assessment Services for the Phoenix Indian Medical Center located in Phoenix, AZ. Phoenix Indian Medical Center 4212 North 16th Street Phoenix, AZ 85016 The contract awardee will be responsible for Water and Steam assessment including the collection of up to three water samples and one steam condensate sample and the onsite testing for up to six parameters, including Endotoxins. Standard efficacy testing of one mechanical washer-disinfector. A thorough investigation of the washer process will be completed. This may involve placing a monitoring device within the washer to measure, temperature, conductivity and pH of the wash water during all phases of the cycle. Titanium plates for staining analysis utilizing EDX Spectroscopy Official results will be reported via a detailed results presentation following the assessment. This presentation will provide a summary of recommendations relative to operational processes, regulatory compliance, and a spot analysis of instrument quality in select instrument sets. This presentation will provide specific recommendations that if implemented, can improve the quality of surgical instrumentation assets, improve sterile processing processes, help ensure compliance with national standards, establish work flow improvements and help to improve employee and physician satisfaction. Ideally, assisting Customer in moving towards a goal of a standardized, optimized approach to Surgical Asset Management PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Performance of this contract shall begin on 01/24/2022 and shall not extend beyond the completion date of 02/07/2022, unless the period is changed by written modification of the contract. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
